「科学史なき科学哲学は空虚であり、科学哲学なき科学史は盲目である」
" philosophy of science without history of science is empty；history of science without philosophy of science is blind"
（Imre Lakatos”The methodology of scientific research programmes”, Cambridge University Press1978, p.102）
を書き換えたものです。
また、ラカトシュのこの格言は、
I.Kantの"Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind."
を書き換えたものであると言われています。
